Fermar Maintenance started in 1990 when Gustavo Fernandez Sr. was in search of work where he could use his handyman talents acquired from Mexico City. After a few years of building relationships and connections in the Phoenix, Arizona area, Gustavo Sr became the sole maintenance contact for Arizona Storage Inns throughout the valley. He became their official contractor that knew plumbing, electricity, air cooler maintenance, and more!
In 2017, son Gustavo Jr adopted his father’s values and practices to create FERMAR Maintenance, a janitorial company that worked with owners of commercial buildings. Shortly after, Gustavo Jr merged the two services together which now offers ANY maintenance service that a commercial building needs both in janitorial and handyman work.

Gustavo Fernandez Martinez of FERMAR Maintenance began his career in the janitorial industry after shifting his career from web development and online marketing. Upon learning of his strong project management skills, Gustavo made the difficult personal decision of pursuing his lifelong interest in business. Gustavo graduated from the University of Arizona in 2014 with a B.S. in Information Science & Technology. He is a Phoenix, Arizona native. In his spare time he trains Muay Thai.
Gustavo Fernandez began his career of being a handyman in 1990. He quickly acquired skills in plumbing, electricity, and more! He was Arizona Storage Inn’s official contractor, assisting in handyman work until 2018. Gustavo is from Mexico City. He enjoys listening to cuuuumbias and giving back to the homeless in his spare time.
